Four’s Teacher – Mrs. Catherine Scott-Kem

Catherine began her tenure as the 3’s teacher at Crofton Nursery School in 1992. In 2007, she took on the role as our 4’s teacher. She holds a degree in Recreation Management and continued education in Early Childhood Education. She has a great passion and love for teaching and working with children and their families. Her family has lived in the Annapolis area for many years and is originally from Minnesota. She is the proud mother of two grown children.

Catherine has also been a sponsor Mom for midshipmen at the Naval Academy since 1995. Since she was a teenager, she has worked with children in a variety of recreational and early childhood programs. She has coached swimming at the U.S. Naval Academy for the past 18 years. Catherine spends her summers teaching swim lessons, often for CNS families. Her hobbies include (when she has time!) golf, skiing, and walking her two dogs; Pete, an 10-year-old Golden Retriever and Cody, a 5-year-old brown Newfoundland.
